Top 10: Port Boys Lacrosse Ranked in Final Poll

Vikings recognized for one of their best seasons in years.

Newsday released their final boys lacrosse rankings for 2013 and the Port Washington Vikings cracked the Top 10.

Port Washington had one of its best seasons in more than a decade with a championship run. The season ended last month with a 16-3 loss to Massapequa in the Nassau County final.

The Vikings upset No. 2 Syosset, the defending Nassau Class A champion, 11-9 in the semi-finals before a crowd of 1,000 at Hofstra’s Shuart Stadium which set up their first Nassau title game appearance since 1999.
