Port Rallies Behind It's Favorite Ice Cream

The competition is heating up in Newsday's Ice Cream Smack Down Challenge as Port Washington based Sweet Treats on the Wharf (Douglas and James) is in a race for the finals and the title of Long Island's Best Ice Cream.

Douglas and James has already pulled through four rounds and faces some tough competition in the finals from The Ice Cream Cottage.

Douglas and James is a family run business that's been at Inspiration Wharf for nearly two decades. It's a seasonal favorite as it's ice cream is home made on premises and features local favorites like "Chocolate Brownie, Coffee and Salted Caramel."

It's crunch time as voting closes tomorrow morning July 6th.
