Port Rowing to host Gold Coast Classic Indoor Regatta
Spectators are welcome. Races for beginners and experienced rowers of all ages.
The hallmark of winter training for any rower is erg racing on the indoor rowing machines or “ergs.” The Gold Coast Classic Indoor Regatta, hosted by Port Rowing, provides a competitive arena for a rower to measure improvement or set new goals. Port Rowing welcomes individuals and clubs, novice and experienced rowers to the 9th annual Gold Coast Classic Indoor Regatta on Sunday, January 26, 2020 with races for all ages and abilities.
Events for young rowers from 5th grade up through U19 are scheduled throughout the day. Beginning at 8:00 am, races will be held for adult novice and master rowers. No experience necessary. Plus, a modified event designed to provide a platform for rowers with intellectual disabilities to compete will be held at 8:30 am. Spectators are free and welcome to come cheer on the rowers. Refreshments and event merchandise available for purchase. Registration fees apply for all participants and signed waivers are required.
