Port Washington 2023-24 School Budget Passes Easily

The two incumbent school board officials were re-elected after they ran unopposed.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Port Washington School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2023-24 school budget by a margin of 1,951 votes to 522.

The district's budget is $184,265,295, up 5.39 percent from last year's. The tax levy is $154,523,228, up 2.63 percent.

Julie Epstein and Rachel R. Gilliar, both incumbents, were re-elected to the Port Washington Board of Education for three-year terms set to expire on June 30, 2026. Epstein received 1,912 votes, while Gilliar garnered 1,849 votes.
