Port Washington Children’s Center Rings in the Year of the Horse During Lunar New Year Celebration
Students at the Port Washington Children's Center Recently Celebrated the Lunar New Year with Several Artistic Activities
The Port Washington Children’s Center recently celebrated the Lunar New Year and welcomed the Year of the Horse with a variety of engaging, hands-on activities for children.
To mark the occasion, students participated in a series of creative projects that introduced them to the traditions and symbolism of the holiday. Using everyday craft materials such as paper plates, paper towel rolls and tissue paper, children designed colorful lanterns and created artistic representations of horses and moons.
The activities offered students a fun and meaningful way to learn about the cultural significance of the Lunar New Year while expressing their creativity. Through crafting and collaboration, the celebration helped foster curiosity about global traditions and encouraged an appreciation for cultural diversity.
