Port Washington Communities Among Best Places To Live In New York

Multiple Port Washington communities are among 34 Long Island towns that made Niche.com’s list of the 2017 Best Places to Live in New York.

Kensington once again took the top spot in the state rankings, but still didn’t crack the Top 100 nationally.

Port Washington, Sands Point, Flower Hill, Plandome and other nearby communities also made the statewide rankings. (See full rankings below)

Carmel in Indiana was determined to be the best place to live in the United States, according to the rankings.

Just three Suffolk County communities made the list. The 31 other communities all hail from Nassau County.

Niche.com took into account local statistics on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities to determine these rankings. Read more about the methodology here.
