Port Washington Pride at Schreiber High School Homecoming
The day included a parade, family-fun festival, football game and more.

Students, parents, school faculty, administrators and community members turned out in numbers on a beautiful day to celebrate Paul D. Schreiber High School’s 2014 homecoming on Sept. 20 in Port Washington.
During the morning, community residents, local officials and members of community organizations, as well as students, parents and school officials from the Port Washington School District’s seven schools, filled the streets to participate in the annual Pride in Port Parade. In the afternoon, Paul D. Schreiber High School clubs hosted a Family Fun Festival, which was held at Weber Middle School’s field. The event featured a number of activities for members of the community to enjoy, including face painting, various rides and pumpkin painting.

Afterward, the community took to the Schreiber High School football field for the big homecoming game between the Port Washington Vikings and the Hicksville Comets. The game’s halftime included performances by Schreiber High School’s cheerleading team, and the school’s kickline and dance club, the Portettes.
In addition, the school’s sports Hall of Fame inductees, and Homecoming King James Brensic and Queen Mariam Gejadze, were announced to the delight of the crowd. The day made for an impressive showcase of pride throughout the Port Washington community.
