Port Washington Touts 25 Commended Students

The students were named National Merit Scholarship Commended Students.

Twenty-five Paul D. Schreiber High School students in the Port Washington School District have been named National Merit Scholarship Commended Students.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation have been recognized for their exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry.

Although they will not continue in the 2015 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, these students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
