Port Washington Youth Baseball Teams Honored for Successful Season

The Port Youth Activities Boys Legends teams were honored Tuesday by Town officials for their success this season.

• The 11u team was Little League District 28, and Section 4 West Champions and also participated in the New York State tournament. The team is managed by Eric Trenaman.
• The 12u team took home the Nassau County Youth Baseball League Championship and also was the top seed of all Long Island teams at this year’s Cooperstown Dream Park tournament. The team is managed by Bruce Schindler.
• The 13u team was champions of both Little League District 28 and Section 4 West, and also took second place in the New York State tournament. The team is managed by Joe Duarte.

The Town Board, Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio honored the teams during a ceremony prior to the Budget Hearing at Town Hall.
