PW PAL SPRING SPORTS

REGISTRATION IS OPEN AND ONGOING FOR ALL PW PAL SPRING SPORTS

PORT WASHINGTON PAL SPRING SPORTS

Port Washington PAL, a 65+ year-old not-for-profit youth sports organization, the oldest continuously operating youth sports program in Town, is again offering professionally run Sports programs for various age and skill levels. Our programs are open to all regardless of location, ability, experience level or any other program you may be part of. At PW PAL, we simply want kids to play as much as possible.

This Spring we are pleased to offer T-BALL for boys & girls in pre-k – 1st grade meeting Saturday’s at 12 noon. Come join the fun starting March 29, 2015 for a fee of only $175, and of course scholarships are available if needed.

PW Pal is also offering SOCCER for boys & girls in pre-k through 3rd grade meeting Sunday afternoon from 12-115 for pre-travel players or 130-230 for “Kickin` Kiddies”. Program starts March 29, 2015 at PAL Fields. Fee for this professionally run class is also only $175.

Spring 2015 PW PAL will also be offering DEVELOPMENTAL programs in both BASEBALL and SOFTBALL. These programs are best suited for athletes in 2nd and 3rd grade. Our professional coaches will teach all the fundamentals of the sport so that as the players age up they are ready for unrestricted competitive games. These programs will initially focus on instruction and in the second half of the season we will play games against outside opponents. Girls Softball will meet Sunday 9 am – 11 am and also practice Thursday 6-730 pm. Boys Baseball will practice Tuesday & Thursday 6-730 and their games will be exclusively on weekends. Fee for Developmental Softball is $175, Developmental Baseball $225.

PW PAL’s Championship winning D-BACKS SOFTBALL will again be fielding competitive teams at the 10U, 12U, and 14U levels. Get a full travel experience priced at the cost of a non-profit program. 20+ game schedule, local travel, overnight tournaments,outstanding trained coaches, specialized athletic training, and the experience and camaraderie that can only come from being part of a true team. Register early and reserve your spot, nobody gets cut at this age but space is limited. “We don’t make cuts, we make players”! Practice: Monday 6-8 pm and Thursday 7–9 pm (players must be at 1 practice per week) Game Schedule: varies, mostly Saturday and Sundays with occasional weeknights, 13+ exclusively Sunday afternoon. Fee: 12U & 13+ $350.00, 10U $225.

Spring Training & Conditioning March 15 & 22,, 2015 at Frozen Ropes Syosset, cost $100.

Also returning this Spring is PW PAL PIRATES BASEBALL for 10U & 12U Boys. These teams will be entered in the NJBL League for a true competitive experience. Practice: Tuesday & Thursday 7 – 830 (players must be at 1 practice per week), game schedule varies, almost exclusively on weekends. Fee: 10U & 12U $350 Spring Training Fee $100.

New to the PW PAL Sports Line-up this Spring are 10 and Under Tennis and Flag Football. Tennis is geared towards the beginning player and will be led by a certified tennis instructor. The focus will be on teaching the sport so that the players are ready for competitive play. Flag Football is open to all athletes 8th Grade and below. Jamel Ramsey, Head Varsity Coach Schreiber HS Football will run the program. Tennis meets Sunday 9-11 am starting April 19th and Flag Football Sunday 4 pm starting March 29th.

PW PAL will also offer the only outdoor BASKETBALL LEAGUE on the North Shore of Nassau County. Join “Hoops by the Harbor”as an individual or team and compete against area competition in a league run by Coaches with NBA experience. Thanks to the generous donation of Andrew Levy we were able to resurface and remake our basketball court. Anticipated divisions are 5th & 6th Grade, 7th & 8th Grade, 9th & 10th Grade, 11th & 12th Grade. CYO, AAU, Club and Travel teams welcome to enter as a team. Any individual that registers is guaranteed placement on a team.

CYO, AAU, Club and Travel teams welcome to enter as a team. Team entries must have their own adult coach. We are also accepting requests to be placed with friends. All games will have adult certified referees. There is a zero tolerance policy for fighting.
