Residents Can Give Input Into Future of North Hempstead Beach Park

What would you like to see developed on both North Hempstead Beach Park's 90 acres and the 200 wooded acres across the street?

Residents are asked to voice their thoughts on what should be developed on both North Hempstead Beach Park’s 90 acres and the 200 wooded acres across the street.

The Town of North Hempstead will hold three visioning meetings this month where attendees will view a presentation by the Town’s Landscape Architects. Those who attend can engage in a friendly discussion on what they would like to see on the redevelopment area.

Those interested may come to one or all of the following sessions:

  • At the Port Washington Library, located at 1 Library Drive in Port Washington, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18
  • At Clinton G. Martin Park, located at 1601 Marcus Avenue in New Hyde Park, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24
  • At North Hempstead “Yes We Can” Community Center, located at 141 Garden St. in New Cassel at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25

If you are unable to attend any of the scheduled meetings, there will be other opportunities for you to give your comments and suggestions on an interactive website, which will be active by the end of January 2017.
