Road Resurfacing Work Begins Monday In Port Washington

"These essential improvements will elevate the quality of life for Port Washington residents."

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Two major roadways in Port Washington will be receiving road resurfacing work starting on April 13, officials said.

Nassau DPW will begin preliminary concrete work on April 13, followed by milling and paving on Old Shore Road from Shore Road to Pleasant Avenue, and Pleasant Avenue from Shore Road to Old Shore Road.

The work is scheduled to be underway during daytime hours and weather permitting.

Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton encourages community members who may be impacted by this work to plan their commutes accordingly to minimize any disruption to their daily routines.

"These essential improvements will elevate the quality of life for Port Washington residents and business owners and make our roads safer for all motorists and pedestrians who use them in their daily lives," she added.
