Sachem East defeated Port Washington Saturday at Hofstra University to capture the Long Island Class A boys volleyball championship.
Winning their first Long Island boys volleyball championship in school history, the Arrows (15-3) advanced to the New York State tournament at the Civic Center in Glens Falls, N.Y.
Last week, the Vikings (13-5) beat previously undefeated Massapequa 3-1 for the Nassau Class A boys championship at SUNY Old Westbury College.
