Several Roads Being Repaved
Cow Neck Road was the first of several County roads scheduled for repaving.
Thanks to funding secured by Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton, the entire length of Cow Neck Road was repaved in November. Other County roads in Port Washington scheduled for repaving in the spring are Middle Neck Road from Harbor Road to the end of Lighthouse Road in Sands Point and Central Drive from Main Street to Shore Road. In Roslyn, Middle Neck Road from Northern Boulevard to Port Washington Boulevard is also scheduled to be repaved in the spring.
“Monies were approved in the budget for these road repavings earlier in the year, but it took a lot of urging for the Legislative Majority to release the funds,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I’m glad we were able to get Cow Neck Road repaved in time for Community Chest’s Thanksgiving Day Run and look forward to seeing several other County roads repaved in the spring.”
