SPCA Seeking Person Who Put Trap On Cat's Leg
BREAKING: The animal's injuries were so severe that it had to be euthanized. A $5,000 reward is being offered for info leading to an arrest.

The Nassau County SPCA is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a person who placed an illegal animal trap on a cat that led to its death in Port Washington.
According to the SPCA the 10-year-old female cat, which was a stray, was found near Stony Hallow Lane, weak and dragging its leg in the trap. The cat was taken to an emergency animal hospital but due to the severity of its injuries, it had to be euthanized.
The SPCA is offering the reward in the hope that someone knows who placed the leg trap. The group wants to make sure the person who did so faces the maximum penalty under the law.
