"Stop Kiss" Free play at Landmark tonight

Review

Just in case you don't like fireworks and have no plans for tonight
consider going to see a very good play at the Landmark on Main Street's
Jean Rimsky Theater for free (donations appreciated). I was dragged to
it last night because my son was doing tech, but quickly forgot that it
was local kids putting on the production. It was simply top notch. The
plot is edgy, the script crisp. The performances were stellar. It was
as good as anything I've ever seen off off Broadway. Intimate,
close relevant. Really a treat to see. IT IS NOT FOR KIDS. It is
called "Stop Kiss". To use the director's description: "It tells an
important story about discovering yourself in an overwhelming world,
overcoming fear, discrimination ... and how love survives hate." It is
being performed tonight at 7 and tomorrow at 2PM. It made me cry before
the end of the first act. Powerful. Enjoy.
The theater is located at 232 Main Street Port Washington.
