Stop & Shop Celebrates Grand Reopening of Port Washington Store

Remodeled Store Features a Fresh New Look, Enhanced Deli & Bakery Departments and Curbside Pickup

Stop & Shop, a neighborhood grocer for more than 100 years, today unveiled its newly remodeled store in Port Washington, NY (65 Shore Road).

The store, which opened its doors in 2004, is now noticeably brighter and more modern. The store not only has a new look, but it also has new features that are centered around delivering fresh, healthy, and convenient options to make grocery shopping easier.

  • Stop & Shop Pickup - orders placed online at stopandshop.com can be picked up at the store from the comfort of your own car while a store associate delivers your order right to your trunk.
  • An updated deli department that features an expanded assortment of offerings
  • An enhanced bakery department complete with delicious cakes, cupcakes and other treats
  • New grab-and-go meal solutions including a new hot foods bar featuring freshly packed entrees and sides
  • Upgraded self-checkout area for added convenience
  • Organic and natural products integrated within the grocery aisles allowing customers to see all product options available

“We’re excited to share our newly remodeled store with our local shoppers,” said Mark Natoli, Store Manager of Stop & Shop Port Washington. “We’ve added more of what our customers want and upgrades they need to get their shopping done faster and get back to what matters most.”

Port Washington is the last of Stop & Shop’s Long Island remodels for 2020. Earlier this fall, the supermarket unveiled remodeled stores in Glen Cove, West Babylon and Huntington, as well as a new store in Woodmere. More remodels are planned for 2021.

To celebrate the remodeled store, Stop & Shop will donate $1,000 and $500 in Nature’s Promise® natural and organic products to provide Littig House Community Center.
