Uncle Giuseppe's Opens New Long Island Location On North Shore
The Italian specialty grocer's newest store in Wheatley Plaza is its 13th location across New York and New Jersey.
GREENVALE, NY — Italian specialty grocer Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace opened its newest store in Greenvale last week.
Uncle Giuseppe's in Wheatley Plaza opened its doors to customers following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 14.
The expansion comes after the opening of the Bohemia location in November 2025, and the grocer has plans for a Levittown location toward the end of the year. The Greenvale location is the company's fourth store in Nassau County and 13th overall across New York and New Jersey

The company said it plans to hire about 250 team members for its new stores across Long Island, as part of a larger plan to hire about 1,000 team members over the next year.
Now, North Shore residents can take a shorter trip to Uncle Giuseppe's for Italian classics, specialty pastas, prepared foods, baked desserts or even just a slice of pizza while they shop.

"Our team members are the heart and soul of every Uncle Giuseppe's," CEO and co-founder Carl DelPrete said.
The newest location is at 130 Wheatley Plaza in Greenvale.
