Wit & Whim Owner Named Port Washington's Small Businessperson of the Year

One hundred percent of the business' profits are donated to charity.

Wit & Whim owner Laurie Scheinman was recently named Port Washington Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 Small Businessperson of the Year.

Scheinman was honored by public officials at the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce’s 32nd annual Small Businessperson of the Year ceremony.

Wit & Whim, located at 6 Carlton Ave., is a philanthropic gift boutique that offers a collection of modern, vintage handmade and Americana goods. One hundred percent of the business’ profits are donated to charity.

Scheinman also serves as a member of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce and worked as a child and family therapist for nearly 30 years.
