School Bus Crashes Into Crown Heights Building

A school bus slammed into a Crown Heights building, prompting an evacuation and an emergency safety inspection.

CROWN HEIGHTS— A school bus crashed into a residential building near Eastern Parkway and Albany Avenue on Thursday morning.

No students were on the bus, and the driver was not seriously injured, according to first responders.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m., and the fire department evacuated the building, the FDNY reported.

The Department of Buildings is assessing the building's stability.

Officials have not said what caused the crash.
