CaribBEING's Heritage Film Series: Election Season Double Feature. 6/26, 1 & 3 PM. Brooklyn Museum.
Take a break from the political heat and join us as caribBEING's Heritage Film Series continues with an election season double feature.

At 1PM the film Sweet Micky for President (Ben Patterson, 2915, 89 min.) follows Pras Michel, Brooklyn-born Grammy award-winning rapper and founder of the hip-hop group The Fugees, who ran the presidential campaign of Haiti's most popular and outlandish pop star, Michel "Sweet Micky" Martelly.
At 3PM the film Chisholm '72: Unbought and Unbossed (Shola Lynch, 2004, 77 min.) is a tribute to Brooklyn's trailblazing Shirley Chisholm, the first black congresswoman in the U.S., who fought for change and became a popular candidate for president in 1972.
The films are FREE with Museum admission and will be shown in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor.
