Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with the Brooklyn Museum at Target First Saturday on July 2.
This evening celebrates Independence Day with programing inspired by the exhibition Agitprop! and our refreshed American Art collection.

Programing will expand ideas about Independence Day to question what it means to be American and celebrate art and activism that call for more freedom. Highlights include music by Pablo Helguera and DJ Chela; performances by Dennis Redmoon Darkeem and Bread and Puppet Theater, and a screening of the documentary Keepers of the Game.
This event attracts thousands of visitors to free art and entertainment each month. Some Target First Saturday programs have limited space and are ticketed on a first-come, first-served basis. *Denotes a ticketed event. See our website for a complete listing of the evenings events.
