Teen Accused Of Beating Girl For Air Jordans Killed In BK: Report
Tyquan Howard, 16, a suspect in an infamous crowd attack and shoe theft, was shot and killed Tuesday, according to a report.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A 16-year-old boy shot and killed in Crown Heights was part of an infamous, caught-on-video March crowd attack on a girl, according to police and reports.
Police found Tyquan Howard on Tuesday afternoon with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, authorities said. Medics rushed him to Brooklyn Hospital where doctors later pronounced him dead.
The shooting occurred at about 1:02 p.m. in front of 1475 Saint John's Place, in between Rochester and Utica avenues, police said.

That's roughly a block away from where a group of at least 18 youths attacked a 15-year-old girl, stomped on her and stole her Air Jordans. The March 5 assault prompted widespread outrage after NYPD released a video from a nearby Utica Avenue deli showing the attack.
Howard was one of the youths, the New York Post reported.

NYPD continue to investigate Howard's death and no arrests have been made.
