Crown Heights Shooting Kills 21-Year-Old Man, Cops Say
The 21-year-old man was shot four times near Dean Street and Schenectady Avenue, police said.
CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A 21-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Crown Heights on Monday night, police said.
Cops found the 21-year-old with four gunshot wounds to his abdomen and chest near Dean Street and Schenectady Avenue just after 6 p.m., police said. He was brought to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police had not caught the shooter as of Tuesday morning.

The incident is the latest in a recent surge in shootings across New York City in recent weeks. Just in this week, there has been a 400 percent spike in shooting victims, compared to the same period of time in 2019.
Cops are also searching for a man in a wheelchair who opened fire during a dispute in Harlem over the weekend and the person who shot a man and a woman in East New York on Saturday.

The East New York victims — Stephanie Perkins, 39, and Chioke Thompson, 23 —were found dead in front of 551 Van Siclen Avenue, police said.
