Claressa "T-Rex" Shields fought to become the first woman from the United States to win a boxing gold medal at the Olympics

At 17, the unstoppable Claressa "T-Rex" Shields of Flint, Michigan, fought to become the first woman from the United States to win a boxing gold medal at the Olympics. The screening of T-Rex (Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper, 2015, 91 min) is followed by a conversation with producer Sue Jay Johnson; Jason Crutchfield, Claressa's coach; and Brooklyn-based pro boxer Heather Hardy. Co-presented with partnership with Independent Lens and THIRTEEN, with the Women's Sports Foundation.

This FREE screening will be held in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor.
