Learn the principles of this Japanese healing art! This workshop will combine yoga with self-Shiatsu & Shiatsu partner techniques.
By working on someone else's body, we also gain greater insight into alignment principles, thus influencing our own movement. We will begin with a gentle yoga and meditation warm-up, led by Romina.
Shandoah trained at the Ohashiatsu Institute in NYC. Her extensive practice since 1997, as well as her M.A. in dance, contributes to thorough knowledge of the body and movement. Fluid manipulations, alignment principles, gentle stretching, and pressure points along energy pathways encourage movement and profound balance. Macrobiotic principles and five element theory influence Shandoah greatly in her approach to healing and facilitating the balanced body, regarding the environment as a macrocosm of ourselves. Shandoah has traveled and worked internationally including Japan, the UK, France, and Canada. Her passion is to inspire greater awareness and motion in the body.
