Fire Erupts In Crown Heights Building: FDNY

A two-alarm fire erupted at 752 Nostrand Ave. Tuesday morning, the FDNY said.

CROWN HEIGHTS — Firefighters battled a massive blaze in a Crown Heights building Tuesday morning, the FDNY said.

Smoke eaters rushed to the top floor of 752 Nostrand Ave. about 11 a.m. to battle a two-alarm fire, according to the FDNY.

Firefighters had the blaze under control by 12:17 p.m., a FDNY spokesperson said. No building residents or firefighters were reported injured, the FDNY said.

The building between Park Place and Sterling Place contains apartments above a ground floor business.

A Mexican restaurant — Taqueria Milear — sits on its ground floor, according to Yelp. City officials in 2017 levied a $4,000 fine against the building's owners after the restaurant built an extension in its rear yard without a permit, Department of Buildings records state.
