As February began the high school basketball season in Prospect Heights is winding down.

Girls Basketball
Wingate 45, Clara Barton 42
For the second time this season the Lady Panthers suffered a tough loss to the Generals. Alisha Ogbewele scored 23 points for Wingate Educational Campus in the first meeting between the two schools. However, she was held to only 17 points by Barton in the second meeting.

Akeesha Belfon led the Lady Panthers with 13 points but they could not overcome a 9-point halftime defecit and suffered their sixth loss of the season.

Boy's Basketball
Prospect Heights 49, Acorn School For Justice 73
The Cardinals hung tough with one of the top teams in the Brooklyn A East Division in the first half. Prospect Heights trailed by three points at halftime but were unable to continue their strong play in the second half. The Panthers outscored the Cardinals 40-19 in the second half as Prospect Heights fell to 3-10 on the season.
Medgar Evers 70, Clara Barton 47
The Panthers with little margin for error and hoping to make the playoffs suffered their seventh loss of the season to the rival Cougars. Barton was unable to overcome a first half where they struggled offensively and scored only 14 points. Odefe Enabulele led the Panthers with 16 points in the contest.
Clara Barton 41, Leon M. Goldstein 44
Senior guard Joshua Salcedo had his best performance of the season scoring a game-high 22 points while connecting on five three pointers. However, Barton failed to score in double digits in the first and final quarters of the game to fall to the Dolphins for the second time this season. The loss officially eliminated the Panthers from playoff contention.
