Rapper Nick Blixky Shot Dead In Brooklyn

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — An up-and-coming Brooklyn rapper died after being shot on his hometown's streets, police said.

Nickalus Thompson, 21, was better known as Nick Blixky — an artist whose videos racked up millions of views on YouTube and reportedly was set to release a new album.

But another type of video started circulating late Sunday — the aftermath of a shooting on Winthrop Street, police lights flashing and cops apparently standing over Blixky's body.

A Sunday 911 call at 9:26 p.m. about a man shot brought NYPD officers to Winthrop Street and Rogers Avenue, authorities said. They found Blixky unconscious and unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his torso and buttocks, police said.

Medics rushed him to nearby Kings County Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Police haven't made any arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
