4 Arrested, Including 3 Teens, For Shooting Innocent Bystander In NYC

Police believe the woman may have been an innocent bystander and not the intended target.

QUEENS, NY — The NYPD has been multiple arrests in connection with a shooting on a Queens street that left a 23-year-old woman injured.

Four suspects, including three teenagers, were arrested following the shooting, police said on Friday.

Three 17-year-olds were charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.

Twenty-three-year-old Thomas Tyler faces the same charges, police said.

The incident happened on Wycoff Avenue in Ridgewood around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officers found a 23-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg at the scene.

Police believe the woman may have been an innocent bystander and not the intended target. It is not known at this time who fired the shot that struck the woman.

The 23-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

An investigation remains ongoing.
