QUEENS, NY — A person was fatally struck by a subway train in Queens Tuesday morning, police said.
The incident happened at the Junction Boulevard station around 7:10 a.m.
Officers found an unresponsive man on the train tracks. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim may have fallen onto the tracks. Additional details have not been released.
The incident caused delays on the 7 line between Queens and Manhattan.
For around two hours, train service was suspended between Flushing-Main Street and 33rd Street-Rawson Street in Queens
Commuters were advised to E, F, M, N, R, and W trains.
Trains began running with delays around 9:26 a.m. Regular service has resumed as of 11:25 a.m.
