QUEENS, NY — The NYPD have identified the shooter accused of fatally shooting a 15-year-old boy inside a Queens park last week.
The shooter has been identified as Zahir Davis, 18, who is reportedly a BG4 gang member, according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny.
According to police, 15-year-old Jaden Pierre had organized a water gun fight at Roy Wilkins Park before the shooting.
Pierre and the shooter had been engaged in an ongoing feud that was gang-related, police said.
Davis showed up to the park and pistol-whipped Pierre before a shot was fired into the boy's chest.
Pierre was taken to Jamaica Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made yet. An investigation remains ongoing.
