QUEENS, NY — One person was killed after a fire in a Queens home on Thursday.
The fire broke out at 94-44 Lefferts Blvd. around 6:45 a.m., the FDNY said.
Around 80 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene.
The blaze appears to have started in the back of the building where the victim's body was eventually found.
The fire was put under control within 30 minutes.
The victim has not been identified yet.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
