QUEENS, NY — A body was found floating in Jamaica Bay in Queens on Friday.
A man's body was found near the shoreline between Beach 21st Street and Newport Avenue around 7:35 a.m., police said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not known how long the man had been in the water for. What led up to the incident hasn't been determined yet.
The man's identity has not been released pending family notification.
An investigation remains ongoing.
