Woman Killed In Brooklyn Hit-And-Run

Police are searching for the driver.

BROOKLYN, NY— A 29-year-old woman died after a hit-and-run crash in Cypress Hills, according to police.

The woman was riding on a two-wheeled vehicle on Cypress Hills Street near Jamaica Avenue when a white pickup truck struck her from behind, according to police.

The driver fled the scene, and police are searching for the suspect.

Emergency responders took the woman to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police are waiting to notify her family before releasing her identity.

The location also was the site of a fatal electric-scooter crash in May, when 42-year-old Juan Quishpe died after striking a concrete barrier near the intersection, according to police.
