QUEENS, NY — Two tornadoes hit Queens and Long Island Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Both storms began as waterspouts before moving ashore and becoming tornadoes. The first came onto land in the Eastern Rockaways in Queens, while the second reached land in Atlantic Beach.
The tornadoes seemed to have touched down between 6:30 and 7 p.m.
No injuries were reported, though damage was reported in the areas affected.
A beach club on Long Island suffered damaged after the tornado tore through the property.
