The Pearls and Ivy Foundation of Queens, Inc.

The Pearls & Ivy Foundation of Queens, Inc. (PIFQ) is a public 501(c)3 charity organization, incorporated on January 31, 2012. We host fundraisers and events all year round in order to enhance and serve the Queens community. We are founded on the idea of helping those in need. Our membership is composed entirely of volunteers and is exclusive to the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Epsilon Pi Omega Chapter.

OUR MISSION:
To support programs with potential for positive global impact.
To encourage leadership among our youth.
To promote charitable & educational activities within the community.
To support community socioeconomic & health initiatives.

Amongst our many efforts in the community, we are most proud of our signature program:
The Pearl Scholars Leadership Academy (PSLA).
What is the PSLA? The Pearl Scholar Leadership Academy is a 15-week intensive program dedicated to students in grades 7-11. Our goal is to develop future leaders who will make an impact in our community. The program is structured to provide learning objectives in STEM, financial literacy, civic, social engagement and much more.
We have managed great success with this initiative thanks to our partners at the NYC Department of Youth Programs.
At the conclusion of the program, we celebrate the Scholars’ achievements.
