Ages 9 – 11 (drop-off) Cost - $200/student. Classes meet on Mondays from 1:30 PM to 3:00PM. Dates – Oct 19, 26, Nov 2, 9, 16, 30, Dec 7, 14. Why is the environment important? What happens if people do not respect our trails and parks? This season we will talk about why our outdoor spaces are important and why we should advocate for them. We will talk about different animals and plants that inhabit these spaces as well as the people that work to keep them maintained. Every week we will meet an animal, go on a nature walk and complete a worksheet, craft or experiment. Be sure to dress appropriately for the nature walk every week. Space is limited.
Our lessons, designed by APEC educators to supplement and enhance your homeschool environmental education curricula, will include age appropriate hands-on activities with a focus on outdoor learning. Be sure your child dresses for outdoor nature walks and activities! Classes are limited to 10 participants.
Please note: These programs are intended to foster independence for your child. Parents are not permitted in the classroom. If your child is not ready for a drop-off program, please register for a future session. We require a minimum of 6 registered students to run this class. If less than 6 students are registered for a session the class will be cancelled. Families will receive an email about the cancellation and be issued a refund.
