Man Arrested For NYC Arson Fire That Killed 3-Year-Old Boy, 3 Others
Last week, the four deaths were deemed as homicides.
QUEENS, NY — A 38-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with a deadly arson fire in Queens that killed a 3-year-old boy and three others last month.
Roman Amatitla was taken into custody on Wednesday and also faces assault, arson, and Petit larceny charges, police said.
The fire broke out at 44-49 College Point Blvd. in Flushing around 12:30 p.m. on March 16.

The blaze quickly spread through the three floors of the building causing a collapse, fire officials said.
Two of the victims have been identified as 3-year-old Sihan Yang and 50-year-old Chengri Cui. A 61-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man have not been identified yet.

Around 230 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene, and it took over two hours to get the fire under control.
Five other civilians suffered injuries. Five firefighters also suffered minor injuries while responding to the blaze.
