NYC Man Dead After Scooter Hits Pothole

The man was riding a stand-up motorized scooter when he struck a pothole and was thrown to the ground.

QUEENS, NY — A 46-year-old man was killed after he hit a pothole and fell off his motorized scooter, striking his head on the ground in Queens Monday night, police said.

The incident happened on Liberty Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

The 46-year-old man was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

According to ABC 7 New York, the pothole has since been refilled after the crash.
