Man Shot And Killed On NYC Street, NYPD Says

What led up to the shooting is not known at this time.

QUEENS, NY — A man was shot and killed in Queens Friday afternoon, police said.

The incident happened near the intersection of Merrick Boulevard and Sayres Avenue around 12:20 p.m.

Police found a 49-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the chest. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
