Police Fatally Shoots Pit Bull After Attacking Woman In NYC Apartment

The dog was shot and killed at the scene, police said.

QUEENS, NY — Police fatally shot a Pitbull after it attacked its owner inside a Queens apartment building Monday night.

The incident happened inside an apartment at 4-14 Beach 58th St. in the Rockaways around 8:45 p.m., police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call of a dangerous animal and found the Pitbull biting a 28-year-old woman in the arm.

The woman was taken to Jamaica Hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
