Here are the top three stories in Queens today:

  1. On Wednesday, a fire broke out in a two-story home in Queens, injuring more than a dozen children. The fire broke out at the home located at 147-07 72nd Drive 147th St. in Kew Gardens Hills. At least 16 children were taken from the house, which had a daycare on the first floor, and transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the fire is believed to be due to an e-bike that was in the basement. (WABC-TV)
  2. After 34 years, executive director Carl Goodman is departing from the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI). Goodman will step down on Mar. 3 before heading down to Florida to assume the role of president and CEO at St. Petersburg's Florida Holocaust Museum. In the meantime, MoMI's Board of Trustees formed a committee to search for Goodman's replacement; Co-Chairs Ivan Lustig and Michael Barker lead the board. (Deadline)
  3. On Wednesday, police said two armed robbers forced a boy to strip before robbing him in Queens earlier this month. The 17-year-old boy was threatened with a gun by two suspects on Jan. 15 near 115th Avenue and Springfield Boulevard and was forced to take off his jeans, sneakers, and jacket. The victim was not injured, but thieves took nearly $3,700 worth of items, including the victim's cellphone. (msnNOW)
