Teen Arrested After Stabbing Woman At NYC Bus Stop In Unprovoked Attack

QUEENS, NY — A teenager has been arrested after stabbing a woman at a bus stop on Monday, police said on Thursday.
Luis Emmanuel Valencia Ponce, 18, has been charged with attempted murder and assault in connection with the stabbing at 23rd Avenue and 94th Street in East Elmhurst.
A 29-year-old woman was stabbed in the back and hand by the suspect, police said.

She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
Ponce's own family apparently turned him in to police, according to the New York Post.
