Teen Attacked, Stabbed On NYC Street, Police Say

Police have not released a description of the suspect at this time.

QUEENS, NY — A teen boy was attacked and stabbed on a Queens street Monday night in a suspected gang-related incident, police said Tuesday.

The incident happened on 34th Avenue near 82nd Street in Jackson Heights around 7:35 p.m., police said.

A 17-year-old boy was approached by the suspect who asked him “What set?,” or gang he was with.

When the boy said he didn't belong to one, the suspect punched and stabbed the boy in the shoulder and chest, police said.

The teen was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center for treatment.

The suspect fled the scene after the incident. No arrests have been made yet.

Police have not released a description of the suspect at this time.

An investigation remains ongoing.
