QUEENS, NY — Police are looking for a suspect who stabbed a woman and slashed a man on a subway train in Queens Monday afternoon.
The incident happened on board an A train at the Rockaway Boulevard subway station around 1 p.m.
According to police, a 47-year-old woman was stabbed in the back by the suspect and a 56-year-old man suffered a slash wound.

The attack on the subway seems to have escalated from an argument between the woman and the unidentified suspect.
The 55-year-old man tried to help the woman when the suspect attacked her, police said.

The woman was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for treatment. The 56-year-old refused medical attention at the scene.
No arrests have been made yet. Police did not have a description of the suspect readily available.
An investigation remains ongoing.
