1,593 Without Power in Riverhead
Up to eight inches of snow is expected to fall in Riverhead by late afternoon.

Friday’s blast of winter has schools closed, roads slippery — and 1,593 without power in Riverhead Town, according to PSEG.
Crews are out working to address the situation, with the aim of having power restored to all customers by 3:30 p.m. Friday, PSEG said.
“The outages are all weather related. The wind, heavy wet snow can cause outages. Crews are assigned in the Riverhead area. We have a full work force working throughout the day to restore outages. The weather conditions make it difficult for travel and restoration. We appreciate our customers’ patience. Our goal, always, is to restore power safely and as quickly as possible. Our crews will be there as soon as they can,’” Elizabeth Flagler, media relations specialist for PSEG Long Island, said.
