16-Year-Old Charged For Robbing Farmstands, Criminal Mischief in Riverhead: Police
BREAKING: The teen stole cash and destroyed numerous plants and potted plants in a string of incidents over past months, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A 16-year-old boy is facing numerous charges after stealing from Riverhead farm stands and destroying garden and potted plants in a string of incidents over past months, police said.
According to Riverhead Police, the teen was arrested after investigations conducted by the detective division.
Charges include third degree burglary, with two of the burglaries taking place at the Bayview Farm Stand in Aquebogue in May and June of this year, police said.

He was also charged with third degree burglary after stealing from Kam Hung Kitchen and Season Farms in Jamesport, police said.
The teen is also facing a second degree felony criminal mischief charge after he turned over numerous tables and destroyed garden and potted plants in June, police said.

Finally, the teen is facing two counts of petty larceny after two incidents at Goodale Farms in Riverhead, where he removed cash from the farm stand in two incidents in September, police said.
The teen was arrested and processed on the charges on Saturday, police said.
Due to his age, his name and mug shot were not released, police said.
