2 Charged With Criminal Trespass After Being Caught With Burglars' Tools In Calverton: PD
They were arrested Tuesday night, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Two 19-year-olds were arrested after being caught with burglars' tools in a Calverton parking lot, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, the incident took place Tuesday at about 10:22 p.m. on Grumman Boulevard.
A Riverhead Police Department K9 unit was conducting a routine patrol of an area that has had recent reported burglaries, authorities said.

The officer located a suspicious vehicle parked in a parking lot on Grumman Blvd., police said.
The officer, along with his K9 partner, conducted a search of the area and located two individuals within the fenced-in property, police said.

Antonio Martin of Mastic Beach and Jack Beaudry of Miller Place were both subsequently arrested and each charged with one count of third-degree criminal trespass and one count of possession of burglar tools, both misdemeanors, police said.
Both were transported to Riverhead Police Department headquarters, where they were processed and release on desk appearance tickets, police said.
