2 Dogs Rescued From Wading River House Fire: Cops
No one was home at the time of the fire, police say.

WADING RIVER, NY — Two dogs were rescued from a house fire in Wading River Friday night, police said.
No one was home in the house when the fire broke out, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a call came in at 10:58 p.m. about a structure fire on Overlook Drive; responding officers found an active fire at the scene.

The Wading River Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department's detective squad was requested and responded to the scene; after an initial investigation, the Suffolk County Police Arson Squad was requested to assist, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.
The two dogs, found inside the house, were safely removed and turned over to Animal Control, police said.
